One; Video; Playing the damsel
May. 14th, 2011 03:23 am[The video feed flicks on, and there's Chloe, looking very pretty and rather vulnerable. There's a kind of damsel in distress vibe about her. She's mostly putting it on.]
Let me try to figure this out... [She has been reading the journal entries, so knows where she is and what's going on. She's going to pretend she knows less than she does. The word 'inmate' comes out like she's still unused to saying it.] I'm an inmate? And inmates are all dead, so I- [Her breath hitches in her throat and she looks away from the camera.] I must have died.
It's strange here, but I think I understand this place. I mean, I do get it, even if I don't know what I did... [Pause.] So, it's a spaceship, a rehab center, a prison. It's a lot of things. [She goes quiet for a while, looking down at her hands where they're folded in her lap.] You-- the wardens-- you don't need to explain it to me. I understand.
[Another pause, then she shoots a small, shaky smile at the camera.] My name's Chloe. What's yours?
